Hair

It’s often said that your hairstyle is the one part of your look that you wear every day; unlike clothes, our hair doesn’t usually end up in the laundry basket. How a person wears their hair says as much about how they want to present themselves as their fashion choices, but it’s important that a hairstyles suits our natural appearance whilst reflecting our individual tastes.

balayage

Balayage is all about a more grown out and ‘undone’ look and is far more low maintenance than regular highlights, so not requiring you to need to rush back to the salon every month. It is perfect for those who can’t come into the salon regularly to maintain their colour, but still want to have colour in their hair. It grows out gracefully and, because the shades are closer to your natural colour, it will lighten naturally over time. If you’ve ever been worried about having stripy colour after a visit to the hairdresser’s, balayage is a sure way to avoid that harsh contrast between colours especially if you’re going blonde. For perhaps the best balayage in London, look no further – with our team of specialists you’re in the most skilled hands and ensure you likely leave others with serious ‘hair-envy’.
An ombré hair color is when your hair gradually blends from one color at the top to another towards the bottom. It comes from the French word that means “shadow” or “shade” and is one of the most popular ways to color your hair right now. It can often be confused with balayage, which is a hair coloring technique. Gradient ombrés (sombré) are a great way to rock a low maintenance look that doesn’t sacrifice style. Go bold, soft, colorful or natural with endless choices.

ombre

highlight

Highlights are simply pieces of hair that are lighter than your natural color. If your base color is brown, you can add highlights that are a lighter brown, or even have brown hair with blonde highlights. For blondes, blonde highlights incorporate lighter blonde shades. It’s important to note that there are different types of highlighting techniques, too. Traditionally, foils are used to strategically isolate parts of the hair in various shapes and patterns, be that to create contrast that’s very bold, or very soft. There’s also a newer technique, Balayage, where highlights are hand-painted onto smaller, more random pieces of hair, resulting in a more lived-in look.
A full head of colour is where one colour is applied all over the head from roots to tips, using permanent colour to cover grey and lift virgin hair by up to 3 levels or semi-permanent to change depth, tone and add shine to your hair. Permanent colour requires higher maintenance and upkeep compared to a Semi-Permanent or a Gloss where regrowth is less noticeable. Whether it’s brunette, red, blonde or if you’re after a statement making fashion colour, our stylists can recommend a shade that is perfect for you.
